Neemach is an important town of Western Madhya Pradesh and is located on Chittorgarh-Ratlam Broad Gauge railway line. Earlier during British rule in India, Army cantonment was established here. The district of Neemach was created in 1998, earlier Neemach was part of Mandsor district. It is a growing town and many problems relating to urban planning such as water supply, sewerage, solid waste, traffic hazardous, mix land uses, heritage conservation, regional linkages etc. are faced in this town. Poverty alleviation is also an important problem of this town because of many slum areas exist in the town such as colonies of Brick-cline workers. There for MP Government decided to prepare a City Development plan of this city under the JNNURM Program. Agar is also an important growing mandi town of Shahjahapur district. This town is well connected with Ujjain the pilgrim town of MP. Many famous temples exist in Agar town and annual fare is held in Agar town where about 50,000 people from surrounding areas congregate in the annual fare. The town is facing many urban basic problems such as water supply shortage, sewerage, road improvement, railway line connection with Ujjain, solid waste management, lake front development, housing for poor, commercial development etc. The local body is in clinch of financial crises and need financial aid for completing the development works of water supply, sewerage, roads etc. Therefore the MP Government has selected this town for the preparation of City Development Plan under JNNURM Programme.

Actual Services provided by the Firm

• Reconnaissance survey of the towns, • Before preparation of Inception Report and Final CDP interaction with stakeholders, line departments, Urban Local Body were done through holding four workshops at different intervals. • All infrastructure components of the cities were carefully studied for current status, gap assessment, future projection and capital investment planning. • Estimated Investment Required for Neemuch and Agar Town is Rs. 576.50 Crores and 64.49 Crores respectively. The plans were duly approved by the Urban Local Bodies.
