The Programme "Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development" supports the Government of Tamil Nadu in its efforts to implement a climate change adapted and Integrated Storm-water Management System in the Kovalam Basin watershed of Chennai.
Actual Services provided by the Firm
• Critical review of the available main documents (DPR and FS including designs and drawings) and other reports relevant for the project; verification of the concepts, review of data, design criteria, design parameter and other important information relevant for the preparation of the planning and final design for the storm water drainage system. • Assess the status of other relevant projects in Kovalam basin and take into account these activities for the project • Preparation of Detailed Design. • Define final drain sizes and other main hydraulic characteristics • Prepare detailed layout and routing of all designed drains • Prepare all required architectural, structural (reinforced concrete, steel, trenches, etc.), hydraulic and electro-mechanical detailed designs and calculations for the works and goods of M1 and M2 Component 2. • Preparation of Tender Document of individual tender package. • Assist the GCC in finalizing the final tender documents and evaluation of Bids and award of work. • Provide construction supervision services. • Coordination and liaison with the GCC, Contractor(s) and other relevant institutions
